When spectators and judges interact with the mobile view of your event, they can see the classes you create. Spectators see competitors/entries within a class and accompanying scores. Judges, see the judging factors and controls to grade these factors. In both cases, everything revolves around the classes you set up in the admin area.
Class Setup
We will start you out with a sample class (or more) when you first create your organization. After that, you are free to create and modify your own classes. These classes will remain available for your use across different events you host.
Class Attributes
Each class contains multiple attributes that let you tailor everything to the methods you use to judge your competitions.
Name & Description. The name is required and the description is useful for fans and for your reference.
Class Structure. If you are running an event that is strictly performance-based (like snowboarding), set the structure to "Individuals Only (no entries). Otherwise, use the control to specify how many entries a single contestant can enter into this class.
Team Class. The team function allows multiple contestants to compete as a team. The display on mobile will be adjusted to reflect the team name (which the contestant captain must setup when signing into the mobile view).
Mobile View - Judging. This control allows you to specify how the judges enter scores from their mobile devices. For more detail, read this article.
Mobile View - Scoring Display Tile. This control allows you to give primacy to either the contestant or the entry in the mobile view. For more detail, read this article. This control is hidden when the class is set to "Individuals Only"
Time Limit. This is a reference number only for judges.
Rounds. How many rounds are there for this class? If the number is greater than one, you will have additional controls that set round total computation (accumulate scores or not) and the number of guaranteed rounds (you may have an event where only the top X competitors advance to the final round, for example).
Judging Factors. By clicking the pencil icon, you can add or remove judging factors for this class.
